Classes will state if they are IN PERSON, VIRTUAL, or HYBRID. Hybrid classes will allow for both in person or remote attendance. You will receive the Zoom link with registration for hybrid classes. Hybrid classes include a class recording.
Learn to Crochet Series HYBRID
February 27 + March 6, 3:30 - 5:30 PM, $60
Get started with the basics of crochet with a dishcloth and a handy little basket! We will learn to form a chain, single crochet flat and in the round, and crochet increases. These skills will get you started, whether you're making blankets, bags, or Amigurumi! No experience necessary.

Learn to Sew: Tool Roll IN PERSON
March 1, 11 AM - 2 PM, $51
Perfect for carrying your craft projects!
In this class, students will learn all the basic steps to sewing by machine, including how to set up the machine, adjust the settings, change a needle, wind a bobbin, and sew straight lines. Students will sew a tool roll that can be customized to hold anything from knitting needles or clay tools to pens and pencils.

Required Materials:
Your working sewing machine, and any accessories and manual (or rent one of ours)
2 Fat Quarters, or a half yard of quilting cotton (fabric does not need to be prewashed)
A fresh Universal 80/12 machine needle

Knit Skills: Snowglobe Cabled Hat HYBRID
March 7 + 21, + 28, 10 AM -12 PM, $102
Learn the basics of knitting cables with this classic hat, available in sizes to fit the whole family! We'll learn how to use a cable needle (and cable without one!), read cable charts, and practice increases and decreases, including a centered double decrease. Students should be able to knit and purl, and have experience working from a pattern.

16" Circular US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 6 (4.0 mm)

Sewing Skills: Zipper Pouch IN PERSON
March 8, 11 AM - 2 PM, $51
Keep growing your sewing skills with a Boxed Zipper Bag! We'll learn to insert a zipper, use fusible interfacing, sew a bag lining, and create boxed corners. Students should be able to set up and thread a machine and sew straight seams while maintaining an accurate seam allowance.

Learn to Knit, One Dishcloth at a Time HYBRID
March 20 + 27 + April 10, 3:30 - 5:30 PM, $102
If you've never knit before or just need a refresher, this class will teach you all the basics. We'll start off with a simple garter stitch dishcloth, then learn the techniques to add new colors the second week, then add textured stitches in week 3. You'll be ready to knit so many projects after this class!

Sew Your Own: Square Neck Top IN PERSON
March 22 + 29, 11 AM - 2 PM, $102
The Square Neck Top from Friday Pattern Company is a wardrobe basic that's a great introduction to sewing garments! We'll choose our size, cut our fabric, and sew our seams. We'll learn to sew darts, facings, hems and fit adjustments. Students should be comfortable independently setting up and sewing by machine and understand basic pattern and sewing terms.

We will be using WOVEN fabric for this class
Prewashed fabric yardage for your measurements (light to mid-weight cotton, linen, or similar fabric with some drape) (1.5-2 Yards)

We have all basic sewing supplies in the classroom, but you may want to bring your own sewing kit (scissors, pins, seam ripper, marking tools) for convenience.
Work In Progress Help IN PERSON

We've all got a Work In Progress that could use some help! Join instructor Amie Palmer most Fridays for assistance with your knitting or crochet projects. This is an ongoing group class for students who are starting, working on, or need help completing projects. If you have any questions about whether your project is appropriate for this class, please contact the shop with a description.
