Classes will state if they are IN PERSON, VIRTUAL, or HYBRID. Hybrid classes will allow for both in person or remote attendance. You will receive the Zoom link with registration for hybrid classes. Hybrid classes include a class recording.
Knit Skills: The Tessellated Pullover (Weekday) HYBRID
August 28, September 11 + 18 + 25, October 2 + 23, 10 AM - 12 PM, $204
The Tessellated Pullover is the comfort knit you're looking for this fall, with a simple slip-stitch pattern and a casual drop-shoulder fit. We'll cover swatching, sizing, and basic sweater construction skills. This class is suitable for a first sweater project, but students should be able to confidently knit and purl in the round, and have previous experience knitting from a pattern.

Pattern for the Tessellated Pullover from Andrea Mowry (Ravelry, via thedesigner, or purchase through the shop)
Sport to DK weight yarn in yardage for your size (MC and CC1)
Laceweight fluffy yarn like mohair or suri alpaca, may need to be held double (CC2)
Needle Sizes:
*NOTE*- the instructor found it necessary to go two sizes up on needles to get gauge! You will likely want to swatch on a US 5 or 6, depending on your yarn
Main Fabric: US 4/3.5 mm - 32-40”/80-100 cm circular (2 sets for 3 Needle BO)
Ribbing: US 2/2.75 mm - 32-40”/80-100 cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting for cuffs and collar.
Stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle
Sew Your Own: Buttondown w/ Ann Tilley IN PERSON
September 5 + 6, 12 - 5 PM, $178
Learn to sew your own short-sleeve, button-down shirt in a weekend! Designer and instructor Ann Tilley will share her classic, unisex design, and help each student customize their unique style + fit. We will work from a paper pattern, adjust style + fit, and learn techniques for sewing collars, plackets, and buttonholes. Students should have garment and machine sewing experience.

2 yds light to midweight woven fabric (prewashed)
1/2 yd lightweight fusible interfacing (such as SF568)
7-8 buttons or snaps (Ann will also bring options to share)

Teen Sewing Series: Sewing 101 IN PERSON
September 9 + 16 + 23 + 30, October 7 , 4:30 - 6 PM, $135
This class is for students in grades 9-12.
Learn sewing machine basics and how to work with a sewing pattern in this intro class! This class is also a great refresher if you have used a machine before but would like some more practice. You’ll learn about sewing tools, how to set up a machine, how to pick the right fabrics for your project and all about reading a pattern. Class project is a messenger bag / satchel, pattern included with the class. Supplies need to be purchased by the second class!

Felt Your Own: Latte Pincushion IN PERSON
September 10, 6 - 8 PM, $54
Make a cozy latte pin cushion inside a mug in this beginner-friendly needle felting class. Bring a mug from home or choose from a thrifted collection and you’ll leave with cute and useful decor on your craft table. No experience required and all supplies will be included.

Learn to Knit, One Dishcloth at a Time (Weekday) HYBRID

THIS IS A HYBRID CLASS that can be attended in person or virtually.
If you've never knit before or just need a refresher, this class will teach you all the basics. We'll start off with a simple garter stitch dishcloth, then learn the techniques to add new colors the second week, then add textured stitches in week 3. You'll be ready to knit so many projects after this class!

Get started on your sock knitting adventure with this classic sock! We'll start with a super-stretchy cast-on at the cuff, and learn all the basics of sock knitting, including afterthought heels and magic loop. Students should confidently knit and purl on small needles.

32-40" US Size 1/ 2.25 mm circular needles (or size needed to get 8 stitches/inch)
100g fingering weight yarn
~20 g of contrasting fingering weight yarn for cuffs, heels and toes
~1 yard of high contrast fingering weight waste yarn
Tapestry needle appropriately sized for sock weight yarn
Intro to Machine Sewing IN PERSON
September 13, 11 AM - 2 PM, $51
If you just got a sewing machine and don’t know where to start, have used a machine before and been frustrated, or haven’t sewn in a while and want to get back into it, this class is for you! We’ll go over all the parts + what they do, learn to set up the machine + sew basic stitches, and get some practice in! Modern machines only in this class, please! If you have your own machine, bring all the parts and the manual if you have it, or use our classroom machines. All supplies are provided.
Materials List:
- Your home sewing machine, in good working order with the power cord, foot pedal, bobbin, and manual if you have it (or rent one of our classroom machines)
Using a Pattern: Classic Tote Bag IN PERSON
September 20 + 27, 11 AM - 2 PM, $102
You're feeling more comfortable with a sewing machine, but what is up with sewing patterns? Even patterns labeled ‘easy’ can leave a new sewist confused, with unspoken rules they assume you know. In this class, we’ll go over all the info you need to confidently read a pattern, get the right supplies, and complete a satisfying project. Length of grain? Bias? Layouts? Interfacing? All will be made clear – and you’ll have the skills you need to tackle a wide range of makes!

Our class project is a lined tote bag with interfacing to give it shape, and the pattern is included with the class.
Outer Bag Fabric: 58” or 44” wide: ¾ yard
Lining Fabric: 58” or 44” wide: ¾ yard
Fusible Interfacing (woven recommended): 20 – 22” wide: 1 ¼ yards OR 45” wide: ¾ yard
Thread: cotton or poly thread that matches outer fabric

Learn to Crochet Series HYBRID
September 26 + October 10, 10 AM - 12 PM, $68
THIS IS A HYBRID CLASS that can be attended in person or virtually.
Get started with the basics of crochet with a dishcloth and a handy little basket! We will learn to form a chain, single crochet flat and in the round, and crochet increases. These skills will get you started, whether you're making blankets, bags, or Amigurumi! No experience necessary.

Felt Your Own: Wiggly Worm IN PERSON

In this fun beginner-friendly class, you'll wrap and felt wool around wire armatures to create bendable pink worms. Needles, wool, and a foam mat for felting will be provided! Ages 9+

Sewing Sessions IN PERSON
September 30, 11 AM - 1 PM, $34
Ready to build your skills, try something new, or get out of the house & chat with other sewing folk? Join instructor Shaerie Mead for support & guidance in this 2-hour group sewing workshop. Bring a project, ask questions and brainstorm new ideas. Must be comfortable setting up a machine & working independently. Use of our classroom equipment included (machine, iron, scissors, etc) or BYO favorite tools.
Include your project info so the instructor can prepare to best help you.
Work In Progress Help IN PERSON
September 11, 18, 25, 1 - 3 PM, $34
We've all got a Work In Progress that could use some help! Join instructor Amie Palmer most Fridays for assistance with your knitting or crochet projects. This is an ongoing group class for students who are starting, working on, or need help completing projects. If you have any questions about whether your project is appropriate for this class, please contact the shop with a description.
