Classes will state if they are IN PERSON, VIRTUAL, or HYBRID. Hybrid classes will allow for both in person or remote attendance. You will receive the Zoom link with registration for hybrid classes. Hybrid classes include a class recording.
Sewing Skills: Crisscross Apron IN PERSON
April 5, 11 AM - 2 PM, $51
Sew this beginner-friendly, reversible apron, and level up your sewing skills! We'll cover how to trace pattern pieces, and skills like sewing hems, topstitching, and sewing pockets. Students should be comfortable setting up and threading their machine independently.

1 yard each of two different light- to mid-weight fabrics, prewashed
A fresh Universal 80/12 machine needle
Coordinating thread
Your working sewing machine, and any accessories and manual (or rent one of ours)
Learn to Knit, One Dishcloth at a Time HYBRID
April 11 + 18 + May 2, 10 AM - 12 PM, $102
If you've never knit before or just need a refresher, this class will teach you all the basics. We'll start off with a simple garter stitch dishcloth, then learn the techniques to add new colors the second week, then add textured stitches in week 3. You'll be ready to knit so many projects after this class!

Learn to Crochet Series HYBRID
April 11 + 18, 3:30 - 5:30 PM, $68
Get started with the basics of crochet with a dishcloth and a handy little basket! We will learn to form a chain, single crochet flat and in the round, and crochet increases. These skills will get you started, whether you're making blankets, bags, or Amigurumi! No experience necessary.

Sew Your Own: Chanterelle Pants IN PERSON
April 12 + 19 + 26, 11 AM - 2 PM, $153
Sew the Chanterelle Pants (or shorts!) and gain new sewing skills! We will choose our size and style, learn basic length and fit adjustments, as well as construction skills for elastic waistbands, patch pockets, and fusible interfacing. Students should be comfortable setting up their machine, maintaining a seam allowance, and have familiarity with basic sewing terms. We will cut our pattern pieces and fabric together in class. If you are using a PDF pattern, please come with your pattern pieces assembled.

Light to midweight woven fabric for your size (Prewashed!)
1/4 yd fusible light to midweight interfacing (like SF101)
1-1.5 yds of 2" waistband elastic

Thread to match (all-purpose)

You may want to bring your own basic sewing kit (fabric shears, clear ruler, tape measure, straight pins, seam gauge, seam ripper) but we do have shared tools available for use in the classroom.
Knit Skills: The Cloudbreak Tee HYBRID
April 18 + May 2 + 9 + 30 + June 13 + 20 + 27, 1 - 3 PM, $238
This sweet summer tee is a perfect warm weather knit! We'll cover basic sweater construction, sizing and fit, increases and decreases, reading lace charts, and picking up stitches. This pattern is jam-packed with technique, but still accessible for students who can confidently knit and purl in the round, and have previous experience knitting from a pattern.

US 6/ 4 mm 16" circular needles
US 7/ 4.5 mm 32”-40" circular needles for the main body

Sew Your Own: Shirt No. 1
April 25, 12 - 5 PM, $85
Shirt No. 1 from 100 Acts of Sewing is a great first garment pattern! We'll learn how to sew seams, finish hems, and apply bias tape to necklines. Students should be comfortable threading their machine and sewing straight lines.

Work In Progress Help IN PERSON

We've all got a Work In Progress that could use some help! Join instructor Amie Palmer most Fridays for assistance with your knitting or crochet projects. This is an ongoing group class for students who are starting, working on, or need help completing projects. If you have any questions about whether your project is appropriate for this class, please contact the shop with a description.
