Classes will state if they are IN PERSON, VIRTUAL, or HYBRID. Hybrid classes will allow for both in person or remote attendance. You will receive the Zoom link with registration for hybrid classes. Hybrid classes include a class recording.


Knit Your Bust Fitting Sweater HYBRID

June 6, 1 - 3 PM, $34

Tired of gapping button bands? Is your sweater too big in the shoulders if it fits your bust? Learn how to customize existing patterns with shaping and bust darts to get your bust fitting sweater ever!

Instructor: Amie Palmer

Your knit sweater pattern

Calculator (the one on your phone will work)

Flexible tape measure


Intro to Paper Patterns IN PERSON

June 7, 11 AM - 1 PM, $34

Looking to expand your sewing skills, but perplexed by paper patterns? Find your measurements, choose your size and learn what to do when you're between sizes, and decipher all the symbols and markings on your pattern! Bring any pattern you'd like to sew and get started on your next project! This class is perfect preparation for any of our garment sewing classes.

Instructor: Erin West

**We will not be sewing in this class. No machine required.**


Sew Your Own: Zadie Jumpsuit IN PERSON

June 14 + 21 + 28, 11 AM - 2 PM, $153

Sew the Zadie Jumpsuit and gain new sewing skills! We will choose our size and sleeve length, learn basic length and fit adjustments, as well as construction skills for slant pockets and bias binding for finishing. Students should be comfortable setting up their machine, maintaining a seam allowance, and have familiarity with sewing and pattern terms. We will cut our patterns and fabric in class.

Materials:

The Zadie Jumpsuit from Paper Theory Patterns (purchase the PDF pattern from the designer, print on our large format printer!)

Midweight woven fabric for your size- find the size charts on the designer's website (Prewash your fabric!)

A fresh machine needle suitable for your fabric

Thread to match (all-purpose)

Your working sewing machine (or rent one of ours)

You may want to bring your own basic sewing kit (fabric shears, clear ruler, tape measure, straight pins, seam gauge, seam ripper) but we do have shared tools available for use in the classroom.


Work In Progress Help IN PERSON

June 5, 12, 26, 1 - 3 PM, $34

We've all got a Work In Progress that could use some help! Join instructor Amie Palmer most Fridays for assistance with your knitting or crochet projects. This is an ongoing group class for students who are starting, working on, or need help completing projects. If you have any questions about whether your project is appropriate for this class, please contact the shop with a description.
